The Hong Kong Prize

The Hong Kong Prize is a student research competition established in 1996 to recognize students for projects focused on local history. Established by friends and students of late Professor John D. Young who believed a thorough knowledge of Hong Kong’s past was vitally important, the award provides both cash prizes as well as access to research facilities within Hong Kong. Furthermore, students present their ideas directly to stakeholders in the development sector through this platform. Its logo depicts two precious elements with happy associations within Chinese and Western culture: pearls and jade amulets which serve as positive reminders when they win this competition!

To ensure the integrity of the Hong Kong Prize draw, various measures are put in place to guarantee its fairness and fairness. Employees from Hong Kong Jockey Club’s security and customer service departments regularly inspect materials used in the draw – including balls themselves – while locking away after each use; balls measured, weighed and examined via X-ray prior to every draw as well as employing third-party audit services to audit this process.

Athletes who win medals for their country will receive double the amount awarded to those finishing fourth or eighth – so that means the winner of a gold medal will pocket HK$12m while those in fifth or sixth will get paid out between HK$6m and HK$3m depending on where they come in the competition. There may be exceptions; kitesurfer Maximilian Maeder was recently one such notable case where this rule doesn’t fully apply as he lives in Singapore rather than Hong Kong
